BRACHIAL PLEXUS

n. a network of cervical and thoracic nerves which transmit impulses to the chest, shoulder, arm, and hand. It is affected by intense activities which cause trauma to the shoulder. Thus, a shoulder injury can be potential disabling because it could impair this network of nerves. See brachial plexus injury.

BRACHIAL PLEXUS: “Although most brachial plexus injuries are caused by sports activities and motocyle accidents, a number of them also result from injury in the workplace.”
