BIOLOGICAL FALLACY

n. the assumption which concludes that all human phenomena can be explained by biological factors and processes. This is viewed by ecological theorists as a form of naturalistic reductionism, considering that life is viewed strictly in terms of the individual organism and not the totality of one’s ecosystem.

BIOLOGICAL FALLACY: “The problem with biological fallacy is that it attempts to explain all human phenomena, even those of culture and ethics, strictly on the basis of biological processes.”
