CAREGIVER

n. in healthcare, refers to any individual who is involved in treating or preventing an illness, disease, or complication. In caregiving, refers to the individual who directly attends to the personal needs of someone who is young, ill, disabled, or elderly.

CAREGIVER: “The attending physician, the nurse, and the nursing aide can be considered a caregiver in the hospital setting.”
