ATTENDANT CARE

1. nonmedical, in-home personal care provided to individuals with a physical or mental disability. Typically, these people can live independently except for the help they require in dressing, undressing, feeding, and other activities of daily living. 2. one-on-one direct supervision by a trained attendant of a juvenile who has been admitted into custody in a nonsecure setting.

ATTENDANT CARE: “A person who had a disability had a companion who could be said to be in attendant care, since he or she helped with chores.”
