ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)

a sub discipline of computer science that aims to produce programs and articles that simulate human intelligence. AI researchers often develop high-level computer languages for this purpose, such as lisp, Prolog, and Smalltalk. There are many branches of AI, including robotics, computer vision, machine learning, game playing, and expert systems, but all comprise part of this field. AI has largely supported research in other related areas, including cognitive science and computational linguistics. See also Turing test.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI): “Artificial intelligence was used to develop a chess computer program that would beat expert human players.”
