ANTEROLATERAL SYSTEM

one of the major somatosensory system comprising of ascending in the anterior lateral white matter of the spinal cord. Originating from the dorsal horn cells, this system conveys information about touch, temperature, and higher centers. See also spinothalamic tracts.
