ANTERIOR CHOROIDAL ARTERY

a narrow artery that branches from the posterior of the mid-cerebral artery. It lays across the optic tract in the direction of the temporal horn of the lateral ventricle, and therefore toward the choroid plexus, thalamus, amydala, and other deep structures.
