a weakened capacity to understand the symbolism of words and to remember the correct titles for items. Minimal types might be as result of tiredness, inebriation, aging, or worry- more serious types are generally a sign of a focal lesion residing in the space between the first temporal gyrus on the left side of the brain and the angular gyrus. Commonly referred to as amnesic aphasia.
