| Description | The Job-Related Tension Index (JRTI; Kahn et al., 1964) is a 15-item measure used to assess job tension among human service, managerial, and business professionals. It was developed during an intensive study of role conflict and role ambiguity among male employees, ages 23 to 59, in U.S. offices. The initial version of the JRTI consisted of 14 items asking respondents about their job-related problems, and a modified 15-item version was administered in a national survey of wage and salary employees. |
