Het Pelvic Organ Prolapse Quantification System (POP-Q) is ontwikkeld door de ICS (International Continence Society) in samenwerking met de American Urogynecologic Society en de Society of Gynecologic Surgeons om het gynaecologisch onderzoek naar verzakking (prolaps) te standaardiseren. Men spreekt van een prolaps als één of meer organen van het kleine bekken vanuit de normale positie naar beneden of voorwaarts zijn verplaatst. De POP-Q is een gevalideerd en internationaal geaccepteerd systeem voor het in kaart brengen van de ernst van de vaginale prolaps. Het wordt gezien als de gouden standaard. Via deze meting wordt bepaald in welk stadium de verzakking zich bevindt (stadium 0 t/m 4).
