ANGULAR GYRUS

The ridge in the brain in the inferior parietal lobe region. Found at the intersection of the superior and middle temporal gyri. Arches over the superior temporal sulcus and becomes absorbed in the middle temporal gyrus. Overall poor processing in this region may cause dyslexia, whereas injury to this region may cause word blindness (alexia).

ANGULAR GYRUS: “The angular gyrus is a brain region involved in word recognition and overall processing. “
