LIMITED SYMPTOM ATTACK

an umbrella term for those suffering with symptoms typical of a panic attack but without exceeding four somatic or cognitive symptoms during which the individual will feel an intense degree of fear or discomfort.

LIMITED SYMPTOM ATTACK: “When a patient displays symptoms of a panic attack, but those symptoms aren’t in abundance (greater than 4), they’re diagnosed as having a limited symptom attack.”
