tuberculous meningitis

TUBERCULOUS MENINGITIS

a complication of tuberculosis stemming from spread of the tubercle bacilli from the lungs to the brain via the bloodstream. Tuberculosis lesions within the subarachnoid space explode and inflict swelling of the middle and innermost meninges. The indicators are those of other types of bacterial meningitis.
