TEMPTATION

noun. a desire, or a stimulant which encourages a desire, to act in a specific manner, especially within a manner which is opposing to one’s own or culture’s principles of actions.

TEMPTATION: “It is a strong component of leading a Christian life to strive to resist temptation.”
