MALAPROPISM

Is an error in the linguistic sense whereby a word is substituted for a word which sounds remarkably similar to the original work, often with ludicrous effect.

MALAPROPISM: “Malapropism is the result when a word which has a similar sound but entirely different meaning to the one intended is substituted during speech.”
