ASYNCHRONY

n. refers to a lack of temporal correspondence in the development of different processes. For example, there is a time delay between a child’s language comprehension (first) and language production (later).

ASYNCHRONY: “Asynchrony refers to the idea that different processes, for example, speech comprehension, occur prior to other processes, for example, speech production. “
