ANAL-AGGRESSIVE PERSONALITY

with regard to psychoanalytic theory, a character style marked by stubbornness, both passive and aggressive resistance, and rebellion. These characteristics are thought to result from the anal stage of development, wherein the youth contended themselves by retaining bodily waste. Commonly referred to as anal-aggressive character.

ANAL-AGGRESSIVE PERSONALITY: “It is not uncommon for youths to develop anal-aggressive personalities- parents should not encourage such behavior, but should also be aware it may very well not be a permanent trait they’ll possess.”
