VENTRICULAR PUNCTURE

a surgical process wherein an opening from the outside is created to the brain’s lateral ventricle regions. It might be done in effort to lessen intracranial pressure, to administer injected medications immediately just into the brain, or to collect cerebrospinal fluid.

VENTRICULAR PUNCTURE: “The ventricular puncture will be necessary in order to collect the fluid sample we need for testing.”
