RUMINATION DISORDER

Childhood eating dysfunction identified in DSM-IV-TR wherein the affected individual regurgitates partly processed food items and chews it again before ingesting it or spitting it out. Generally takes place within the initial 3-12 months of age (or older, in cases of severe mental defects) and can result in the child coming to be malnourished.
