Psychogenic Nocturnal Polydipsia is the excessive nighttime thirst exhibited by some subjects. It Is not a physical need for water but a disorder that can be seen in schizoid patients. It is, in fact, quite dangerous as massive intake of water can cause a serious imbalance in fluid chemicals in the body.
