the department of psychology which analyzes the philosophical dilemmas pertaining to the discipline and the philosophical presumptions which underlie its theories and techniques. It approaches psychology from a broad point of view informed by an insight of the history of ideas, the philosophy of science, epistemology, metaphysics, ethics, and the devices of formal philosophical study.
