PARALLAX

noun. an illusion of motion of items in the visual region whenever the head is moved horizontally. Objects past an area of visual focus seem to move in the same direction as the head motion- those nearer seem to move in the contrary direction. Parallax supplies a monocular cue for depth perception.

PARALLAX: “The parallax visions she is having have the doctor quite concerned- he wants to run more tests.”
