MYELOMENINGOCELE

are sacs which contain the spinal cord and their covering meninges. Myelomen-ingocele protrude from the spine individually with the spina bifida. Typically, the sacs are closed before the birth of a human however, after birth, they fill with cerebrospinal fluid.
