METEMPSYCHOSIS

is the belief that upon death of a human being or an animal, their soul leaves that body and assumes a new host. This belief is one of the basic doctrines of the Hinduism and Buddhism religions, under the title of Samsara which is the cycle of birth, life, death and then rebirth.
