EXTRAPYRAMIDAL EFFECTS

is an umbrella term used to describe any reactions which involve the extra-pyramidal tract which is associated with the central nervous system. These effects are effectively responsible for movements in various conditions. Extra-pyramidal effects include: drug-induced parkinsonism, dystonia and even akathisia.
