DE LANGE’S SYNDROME

a hereditary disorder that presents in two ways, both being inclusive of average to serious cognitive retardation and corresponding to autosomal dominant inheritance or relocation of the long arm of chromosome three. One type the Brachmann-de Lange form, also referred to as Amsterdam Dwarf Disease or Amsterdam type of retardation. The other variant is Bruck-de Lange, containing a small, wide neck, wide shoulders, appendages which are short and wise, and muscular hypertrophy.
