CANNABINOID

n. any one of a class of chemical compounds which have psychoactive properties. They activate cannabinoid receptors and effect a state of pain relief and euphoria. Of the 60 substances known in this class, the most prominent would be tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) found in the cannabis plant.
