BRAID’S STRABISMUS

n. in hypnotherapy, refers to a form of strabismus wherein a hypnotic trance is induced by causing the patient’s eyes to turn inward and upward. First introduced by Scottish physician-surgeon James Braid (1795-1860). See hypnosis- also strabismus.

BRAID’S STRABISMUS: “Braid’s Strabismus induces a person into hypnosis by fixating both the mental eye (thought) and the visual eye (vision). “
