BOXER’S DEMENTIA

n. a form of dementia which is gradual, progressive, and chronic. It is caused by strong, repeated blows directed to the head, and these manifest as hemorrhages in the brain. Its symptoms include impaired memory, loss of balance, and poorly-articulated speech. Also called dementia pugilista.
