BLINDSIGHT

n. the ability of sightless people to experience visual stimuli and respond to it within their visual field. Even without conscious awareness, there may be localization, orientation, and discrimination of movement. Although still debatable, this phenomenon is observed in people who are cortically blind, meaning the primary visual cortex of the brain or V1 has been affected.

BLINDSIGHT: “The key to blindsight is in the sensory information which surrounds you such as movement, light, flicker, wavelength, and other visual stimuli.”
