n. any biological process which is studied on a system level. Thus, it is studied and described as to its physical aspects while applying the laws and principles of physics. It may also refer to the human sexual response as to its genital and hormonal aspects. Defined by U.S. therapists William H. Masters (1915-2001) and Virginia Johnson (1925- ).
