BIONICS

n. a sub-specialty of engineering involved in the study and design of biological systems. Certain aspects of these systems are computer-generated and electronically-built such that there is a transfer of new technology involved. At the same time, natural functions are made more efficient and structures are optimized. See biomimetics- also biognosis.

BIONICS: “The science of bionics makes the human body stronger and more efficient in performing its tasks.”
