BIOINFORMATIONAL THEORY

n. a theory which explains why, in the process of imagery, a person should focus on making the image more vivid and real so that actual performance can be enhanced. Stored in long-term memory, visualization and mental imagery serve as both a stimulus and response. Thus, they must first be activated before they can be modified.
