BED-WETTING

n. involuntary discharge of urine while in bed or asleep. Although it is often associated with nighttime incontinence, it can happen day or night and more often among boys. It becomes a problem at ages 4-5 or older when bladder control should be in place. Also called nocturnal enuresis or sleep enuresis. See enuresis- also elimination disorder.

BED-WETTING: “Considered the main symptom of bedwetting, involuntary urination usually happens at night and as often as twice a month or more.”
