AUTOTOPAGNOSIA

n. refers to the inability to recognize, name, or point to specific parts of the body. It is a type of agnosia that results from lesions occurring between the parietal lobe and thalamus. Also known as autopagnosia- somatopagnosia.

AUTOTOPAGNOSIA: “A person showing signs of autotopagnosia was unable to point to the wrist on his or her own body or the wrist on another body. “
