ANGIOSCOTOMA

n. a specific type of visual field disorder caused by shadowing of blood vessels on the retina. n.. A family of peptides, including angiogenesis that are produced by enzymatic activity between the enzyme renin and its precursor protein. Effects include excessive thirst, narrowing blood vessels, high blood pressure, and the over-production of Androsterone in the adrenal glands. See also renin-angiotensins system.
