noun. The modified viewpoint of a sensorial stimulant, which is generally optical, which stems from extended exposure to another stimulant. Subsequent impacts are typically the inside-out or reversed appearance of the origin stimulant. Commonly referred to as after-sensation- perceptual.

AFTEREFFECT: “People are often amazed at the aftereffects of viewing a vibrant photo and then looking to a blank sheet of paper when they can still see it in some form although it isn’t present.”
