Scale Overview
The Workplace Trust Survey – WTS was developed by N. Ferres, J. Connell, & T. Travaglione (2003). It is designed to measure Workplace Trust. The scale is intended for use with Working adults / employees.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 35 items organized into 3 factors/subscales: Trust in Organization, Trust in Co-workers, Trust in Supervisor.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a 7-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree to 7 = Strongly Agree).
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 35 to 245. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Workplace Trust: 35 – 105
- Moderate Workplace Trust: 106 – 175
- High Workplace Trust: 176 – 245
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of High internal consistency (typically alpha > 0.90 for subscales).
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
