Scale Overview
The Work Values Inventory (WVI) is a standardized psychological assessment instrument. It is designed to measure Work Values. The scale is intended for use with Adolescents and adults engaged in career planning.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 20 items organized into 6 factors/subscales: Achievement, Independence, Recognition, Relationships, Support, Working Conditions.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 2 = Very Important, 1 = Somewhat Important, 0 = Not Important.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 40. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low overall importance of these work values: 0 – 13
- Moderate overall importance of these work values: 14 – 27
- High overall importance of these work values: 28 – 40
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
