The Woodworth Psychoneurotic Inventory – WPI was developed by Robert S. Woodworth (1917). It is designed to measure Psychoneuroticism. The scale is intended for use with Adults.

The scale includes 23 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.

Total scores range from 0 to 117. Interpretation guidelines:
- Typical/Normal Range: 0 – 19
- Suspected Psychoneurosis / High Risk: 20 – 117
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
