Scale Overview
The Vancouver Obsessional Compulsive Inventory – VOCI was developed by Thordarson, D.S., Radomsky, A.S., Rachman, S., Shafran, R., Sawchuk, C.N., & Hakstian, A.R. (2004). It is designed to measure Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) symptoms. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 55 items organized into 6 factors/subscales: Contamination, Checking, Obsessions, Hoarding, Just right, Indecisiveness.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 0 = Not at all, 1 = A little, 2 = Some, 3 = Much, 4 = Very much.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 220. Interpretation guidelines:

Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Test-retest reliability coefficients of 0.90 or above for OCD groups.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
