Scale Overview
The Valued Living Questionnaire – VLQ was developed by Kelly G. Wilson, A. R. Murrell (2004). It is designed to measure Valued living and valued action. The scale is intended for use with Adults.

This instrument consists of 20 items organized into 2 factors/subscales: Importance, Consistency.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Not at all important / Not at all consistent, 2 = 2, 3 = 3, 4 = 4, 5 = 5, 6 = 6, 7 = 7, 8 = 8, 9 = 9, 10 = Extremely important / Completely consistent.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 10 to 100. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Subscale Score: 10 – 49
- Moderate Subscale Score: 50 – 79
- High Subscale Score: 80 – 100
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
