Scale Overview
The Theistic Spiritual Outcomes Survey (TSOS) was developed by P. Scott Richards (1998). It is designed to measure Theistic spiritual well-being and outcomes. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 17 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Never, 2 = Rarely, 3 = Sometimes, 4 = Frequently, 5 = Almost Always.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 17 to 85. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Spiritual Well-being: 17 – 39
- Moderate Spiritual Well-being: 40 – 62
- High Spiritual Well-being: 63 – 85
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
