Scale Overview
The The Social-Religious-Political Scale (SRPS) was developed by Y. J. Katz (1984). It is designed to measure Social, religious, and political attitudes. The scale is intended for use with Adults.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Strongly agree, 2 = Agree, 3 = Uncertain, 4 = Disagree, 5 = Strongly disagree.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 12 to 60. Interpretation guidelines:
- Conservative Religious Attitude: 12 – 35
- Liberal Religious Attitude: 36 – 60
- Conservative Sociopolitical Attitude: 8 – 23
- Liberal Sociopolitical Attitude: 24 – 40
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.92 (overall), 0.94 (religious), 0.93 (sociopolitical).
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
