Scale Overview
The The Aggression Scale – AS was developed by Pam Orpinas, Ralph Frankowski (2001). It is designed to measure Aggressive behavior. The scale is intended for use with Young adolescents.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 11 items organized into 4 factors/subscales: Physical Aggression, Verbal Aggression, Indirect Aggression, Anger.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 0 = 0 times, 1 = 1 time, 2 = 2 times, 3 = 3 times, 4 = 4 times, 5 = 5 times, 6 = 6 or more times.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 66. Interpretation guidelines:
- Total Score (Higher scores indicate higher frequency of aggressive behavior): 0 – 66
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
