Scale Overview
The Temporal Satisfaction with Life Scale – TSWLS was developed by William Pavot, Ed Diener, & Eunkook Suh (1998). It is designed to measure Temporal Life Satisfaction. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 15 items organized into 3 factors/subscales: Past Life Satisfaction, Present Life Satisfaction, Future Life Satisfaction.

Response Format

Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 15 to 105. Interpretation guidelines:
- Extremely dissatisfied: 15 – 29
- Dissatisfied: 30 – 44
- Slightly dissatisfied: 45 – 59
- Neutral: 60 – 60
- Slightly satisfied: 61 – 75
- Satisfied: 76 – 90
- Extremely satisfied: 91 – 105

Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
