Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Very inaccurate, 2 = Inaccurate, 3 = Somewhat inaccurate, 4 = Neither accurate nor inaccurate, 5 = Somewhat accurate, 6 = Accurate, 7 = Very accurate.
The scale includes 7 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 1 to 7. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low (Average Score): 1 – 3
- Moderate (Average Score): 4 – 5
- High (Average Score): 6 – 7
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Psychological Safety alpha = 0.82, Team Learning Behavior alpha = 0.78.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 8 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
