Scale Overview
The Social Trust Questionnaire (STQ) is a standardized psychological assessment instrument. It is designed to measure Social Trust and Interpersonal Security. The scale is intended for use with Adults and adolescents.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 16 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Strongly agree, 2 = Agree, 3 = Neutral, 4 = Disagree, 5 = Strongly disagree.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 16 to 80. Interpretation guidelines:
- High Social Insecurity (Low Trust): 16 – 32
- Moderate Social Insecurity (Moderate Trust): 33 – 48
- Low Social Insecurity (High Trust): 49 – 80
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
