Scale Overview
The Social Problem Solving Measure (SPSM) was developed by Kenneth A. Dodge, John E. Bates, Gregory S. Pettit (adapted by J. Lawrence Aber, Joshua L. Brown, Stephanie Jones, & F. Samples) (1990). It is designed to measure Social Problem Solving. The scale is intended for use with Children and adolescents.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: A = Option A, B = Option B, C = Option C, D = Option D, E = Option E.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 1. Interpretation guidelines:
- Proportion of strategy endorsement (ranges from 0 to 1 for each subscale): 0 – 1

Administration
