Scale Overview
The Social Behaviour Questionnaire (SBQ) was developed by David M. Clark (1995). It is designed to measure Social anxiety safety behaviors. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 28 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 0 = Never, 1 = Sometimes, 2 = Often, 3 = Always.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 84. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low safety behavior usage: 0 – 28
- Moderate safety behavior usage: 29 – 56
- High safety behavior usage: 57 – 84

Administration
